Frequently asked questions

How does this tool actually work?

The tool uses an API to take a secure screenshot of the website you enter. It then processes that image locally in your browser using the ColorThief algorithm to find the most mathematically dominant pixel colors.

Why did a specific color I saw on the site not show up?

The algorithm looks for the most prevalent colors across the entire visible page. Small accent colors, thin borders, or text colors might be overpowered by large background areas and hero images.

Are the screenshots or URLs saved?

No. The screenshot is temporarily processed in your browser just long enough to extract the colors, and we do not store the generated images on our servers.

Private and free. Most of our tools run entirely in your browser, so the data you enter isn't uploaded or stored. There's no sign-up, and there never will be — they're built by the Fusion Trail Solutions team to be genuinely useful.
