URL Previewer & Safety Check

Inspect a suspicious link safely before you click it.

This is a heuristic safety check, not a malware scanner or threat-intelligence service. It surfaces useful signals, but always stay cautious with links from unknown sources.

About this tool

URL Previewer lets you inspect a link safely before you open it. Paste a URL — including shortened links like bit.ly or t.co — and it follows the full redirect chain on the server, then reports the final destination, HTTP status, page title and description, server headers, and a set of safety signals such as missing HTTPS, raw-IP hosts, look-alike (punycode) domains and long redirect chains. It also shows a script-free static snapshot of the page so you can see what's there without running its code.

Key features

Redirect expansion

Unshortens links and shows every hop to the final destination.

Safety signals

Flags HTTP, raw-IP hosts, punycode look-alikes and embedded credentials.

Script-free snapshot

Renders the page with scripts removed, inside a locked sandbox.

How to use it

  1. 1Paste the URL you want to check (shortened links are fine).
  2. 2Click Inspect.
  3. 3Review the redirect chain and the final destination.
  4. 4Read the safety signals and headers before deciding whether to trust the link.
  5. 5Optionally view the script-free snapshot preview at any screen size.

Common use cases

  • Checking a shortened link from an email or DM.
  • Seeing where a redirect chain actually ends up.
  • Previewing a page's content without running its scripts.

Frequently asked questions

Does this guarantee a link is safe?

No. It surfaces useful heuristic signals (redirects, HTTPS, host type, look-alike domains, headers) but is not a malware scanner or threat-intelligence service. Use it as one input, and stay cautious with unfamiliar links.

How is this safer than just clicking?

The link is fetched on our server, not your device, and the snapshot preview is stripped of scripts and runs in an isolated sandbox — so the destination's code never executes in your browser.

Can it expand shortened links?

Yes. It follows redirects step by step, so you can see exactly where a shortened or chained link ultimately leads.

Private and free. Most of our tools run entirely in your browser, so the data you enter isn't uploaded or stored. There's no sign-up, and there never will be — they're built by the Fusion Trail Solutions team to be genuinely useful.
